Q: Matt, what’s the first thing you do each morning as a charter broker?

Matt: Coffee! [laughs] But seriously, I start early. Our clients are global, so I usually have emails or messages from different time zones waiting. My first priority is checking in with any charters currently underway—making sure everything is smooth, seeing if any adjustments are needed, and staying in touch with the crew. We always want to stay one step ahead.

Q: What’s the biggest misconception about what you do?

Matt: That it’s just booking a yacht. What we really do is create experiences, not just itineraries. I don’t just recommend a yacht—I learn how a client likes their morning espresso, what kind of art they love, how adventurous their kids are, or whether they prefer quiet anchorages over glamorous ports. Every detail matters. Our goal is to make it feel effortless for them—but behind the scenes, it’s anything but passive.

Q: How do you ensure a client has a truly unique experience?

Matt: We listen. That’s the first step. No two clients are alike, and neither are their charters. We customize everything—from dietary preferences and wellness rituals to anniversary surprises and spontaneous excursions. I once helped organize a vow renewal on a secluded beach in Sardinia with just 24 hours’ notice. The couple cried. We all cried.

That’s what makes it special—it’s personal. We don’t offer “packages.” We offer tailor-made moments.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?

Matt: When I hear the words, “This was the best week of our lives.” That moment makes every late-night call, every logistical challenge, completely worth it. We’re not just arranging trips—we’re helping people create memories they’ll carry forever. And to be trusted with that? It’s an honor.
