Launched in 1906, Kalizma served in both World Wars before Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor fell for her on a 1967 Mediterranean cruise, bought her and named her after their daughters Kate, Liza and Maria. A museum-standard restoration completed in 2020 renewed her engineering, electronics, teak decks and woodwork while keeping her Edwardian character intact.
Inside, Alessandro Ortenzi's design brings champagne tones, brass accents, honey onyx and restored mahogany to five cabins for ten guests, led by a master cabin finished in backlit onyx. Two RIBs, two jet skis, a Seabob and scuba gear wait at the stern. Known as the Orient Express of the Seas, this 45.75-metre (150 ft) classic cruises the Western and Eastern Mediterranean with a crew of ten.
